In 1978  at Art College in Canterbury, John Bently, James Blundun and Stephen Jaques began work on a mysterious black and white 16 millimetre film. For 46 years that film has languished unfinished in a dusty drawer, biding its time  in the shadows as the era  of video came and went and the digital age dawned.
 
40 years ago  this summer the first book in the Liver & Lights series was published and  to celebrate this historically momentous occasion we have  constructed a new book out of the ruins of  that old  film; a new work of  art arising triumphant from the  dust  of the old…
